Starting your Pilates with Plié AJ Balance/ Studio Plié AJ Balancé (“we”, “us”,”our”,”Plié AJ Balance”, “Studio Plié AJ Balancé”), Please read carefully below. The policies may be changed from time to time without prior notice. We recommend reading these policies frequently for the most up-to-date on our website. Modified policies are effective when they are posted on the website.
Language
Plié AJ Balance offers Pilates sessions primarily in English, unless otherwise specified for specific sessions (e.g., Japanese). We do not provide translation services for those requiring them.
Lesson Policy
We value your (“user(s),” “you”) safety and do our best to provide you with a safe practice for each Pilates session. However, we cannot guarantee your absolute safety. Please be aware of potential risks.
To book a Pilates session, you are required to create your own login account on Setmore, our booking platform.
By booking our services, you agree to review our Service Policies, other policies, and Terms and Conditions, and to accept our Liability Waiver, all of which are provided at the time of booking Pilates sessions. This agreement and the Liability Waiver apply even in the absence of written consent. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not book our Pilates sessions or access certain other services. Furthermore, if you check the agreement checkbox and complete your booking on our booking site without separately submitting the "Intake Form & Liability Waiver for Pilates Sessions" (“Intake Form & Liability Waiver”), we will assume that you have read, understood, and agreed to all our rules, thereby waiving your rights accordingly.
2 .Pilates Session
1-1. Attendance of Pilates sessions (Online)
Only the person registered for the session is permitted to participate. Pilates trainees may also join the session for observation purposes. Users acknowledge that trainee observations may occur during users registered Pilates sessions without prior notice. No other individuals are allowed to attend or participate in the session.When we identify that a user has attendant(s) and may be attempting to misuse our system, we will enforce the "Leave" function to uphold our policies and ensure fairness to all clients. Please note that the session fee will not be refunded in such cases. Additionally, the user may be prohibited from accessing our other services.
1-3. Attendance of Pilates Sessions (In-person)
To help ensure the health and safety of all clients and instructors:
1-1. Injury Recovery Pilates
Single Pilates Sessions:
All single Pilates sessions are subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy (Eastern Time). You will not be charged for a session if you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations can be made through our booking system (Setmore) or by email. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session, or failure to attend without notice, will be charged 100% of the session fee. If you do not cancel the booked session and fail to show up, we also charge 100% of the full session fee.
Monthly Package Sessions:
If a single class included in a monthly package is cancelled by the instructor or due to unforeseen circumstances, a make-up class or class credit of equal value will be offered. If a make-up class cannot be provided, or if the participant is unable to attend the make-up session, a refund for the cancelled class will be issued based on the class value. If you purchase a monthly package and are unable to attend class(es) for your own reasons, there is no refund for the missed session(s) in order to ensure fairness.
In-Person Monthly Package Group Sessions & Minimum Enrollment:
For in-person monthly package group sessions, a minimum number of participants is required. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the session may be cancelled, and participants will receive a full refund. Notification of cancellation by Plié AJ Balance will be provided at least 9 days before the scheduled start date.
For registered in-person monthly Pilates session plans, cancellations made at least 10 days before the start date by the participant are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 10 days before the start date are non-refundable, in order to maintain fairness and avoid impacting other registered clients.
General Refund Policy:
Session fees are refunded only in accordance with this Cancellation, Absence, and Refund Policy. We do not issue refunds for missed or cancelled sessions due to natural disasters, severe weather, power outages, transportation strikes, delays, or any other circumstances specific to your location or country.
Transfer Session Policy
We do not accept transfers of Pilates sessions to others. If you transfer sessions unofficially to someone else, and the person who received the session is injured or encounters another issue, Plié AJ Balance will not be held responsible.
Payment Policy
We require advance payment for all services except for in-person group drop-in classes. We accept online payments via ‘Stripe’, and applicable taxes will be based on your residential area.
Pricing may adjust from time to time. The most up-to-date pricing can be found on our website.
Pilates Trainee Policy
We offer Pilates observation opportunities exclusively to BASI Pilates trainees. We provide only observation opportunities and do not allow trainees to conduct Pilates sessions for safety reasons. In addition, we do not assume responsibility for any issues that may arise with our clients or any problems occurring during the observation. All trainees must read and sign our agreement before attending a Pilates session for observation. If trainees are interested in observing our Pilates sessions, please contact us by email and submit the required forms.
Events Policy
We may offer events that go beyond Pilates (e.g.,Pilates & Picnic) or other themed gatherings. These events may take place in various formats, including but not limited to:
When Hosted by Plié AJ Balance:
Event rules, guidelines, policies, Terms & Conditions, and required forms (such as the ‘Intake Form & Liability Waiver’) may vary depending on the nature of the event. Some events may not require certain documents, such as an ‘Intake Form & Liability Waiver’, or ‘the Photos,Videos & Usage Consent Form’. In each case, the applicable rules and required documents will be clearly stated on the event platform we use (e.g., Eventbrite). Please note that not all events will follow or be governed by our standard Policies and Terms & Conditions.
When Hosted by Third Parties:
If the event is organized by a third-party, their event rules and policies will apply. Any additional guidelines provided by Plié AJ Balance (if we are involved) must also be followed.

- All sessions are at your own risk. If you have any concerns regarding physical or medical conditions, or any other safety considerations related to practicing Pilates, please consult with a physician, physiotherapist, or relevant specialist before attending a session to ensure your safety.
- For injuries, potential risks, or other acceptable occurrences, our Pilates sessions are provided as a voluntary choice, and participants accept full responsibility for their participation.
- For safety reasons and to ensure proper supervision, we do not offer Pilates sessions to individuals under the age of 18 ( “children”, "minors").
- All Pilates sessions are by appointment only. Drop-ins are not permitted, except for sessions explicitly designated as drop-in sessions. Please book your session in advance through our booking site. All participants are required to complete our intake form and liability waiver before attending the session.If a participant chooses to join a session without submitting the required forms, their attendance will be regarded as explicit acceptance of all applicable Policies and Terms & Conditions. By participating without submitting the forms, the participant acknowledges and agrees that Plié AJ Balance bears no responsibility or liability for any incidents, injuries, claims, disputes, or other issues that may arise.

2 .Pilates Session
1-1. Attendance of Pilates sessions (Online)
- Taking our online classes requires an individual Google Account to access and use Google Meet. Without a Google Account, you will not be able to participate in our Online Mat Pilates sessions. Please note that no refunds will be issued if you fail to provide a Google Account after our 24-hour cancellation policy has expired.
- Please arrive five (5) minutes early for your online session. Late admission cannot be guaranteed due to system limitations, and we are unable to extend the session, offer discounts, or return on session fees due to lateness or inability to join the class after it begins.
- Creating a safe environment is significantly important. Please ensure that you have a safe and secure environment for participating in online Pilates sessions.This includes ensuring a flat surface, avoiding obstacles, appropriate clothing, maintaining a comfortable room temperature, and other safety measures.We do not provide any warranties or accept any responsibility for your safety online Pilates sessions.
- In online Pilates sessions, keeping your camera on is required. However, whether your camera is on or off, we do not provide any warranties or accept responsibility for any activities occurring behind the camera.
- Internet stability, quality image, connection speed, or other conditions are not guaranteed.
- For safety reasons and to ensure proper supervision, we do not offer online Pilates sessions to individuals under the age of 18. (“children”, "minors").

1-3. Attendance of Pilates Sessions (In-person)
- In-person Pilates sessions may be held at various locations, including but not limited to: rental studios, gyms, the client’s residence, or workplace. Users are expected to follow the rules and policies of the location, if applicable.
- Please arrive on time out of respect for the instructor and other participants. Sessions will not be extended or refunded due to lateness, regardless of the reason (e.g., personal delays, transportation issues).
- We do not cover any personal costs related to your attendance, including but not limited to parking fees or transportation expenses. Additionally, we are not responsible for any incidents that occur before or after the Pilates session, including but not limited to: Parking tickets or towing due to illegal parking, accidents or issues while traveling to or from the session location. All such responsibilities rest solely with the participant.
- Food, tobacco, electronic cigarettes, and recreational drugs (including cannabis) are not allowed in the session space.
- Please avoid wearing perfume or strong scents, as some individuals may have allergies or sensitivities.
- Water is permitted. Please bring your own.
- Only registered participants are allowed in the session room. Friends, family members, children, or other guests are not permitted unless explicitly stated on the Pilates programs or sessions ,or unless authorized (e.g., approved Pilates trainees or professional service assistants such as sign language interpreters) whether any circumstances or any reason. This policy is in place to ensure physical safety, minimize distractions, and respect space limitations. If a user accompanies someone to the session, we do not accept any. In this cace happen, we do not able to return the session fee regarding of our ‘Cancellation, Absence, and Refund Policy’.
To help ensure the health and safety of all clients and instructors:
- Do not attend any in-person session if you are experiencing symptoms or have been diagnosed with a contagious illness such as COVID-19, influenza, pink eye, or norovirus.
- Please clean all equipment used during your session (e.g., mats, yoga blocks) using the provided disinfectant spray and cloths.
- Be sure to allocate time at the end of your session for proper cleaning.
- It is your responsibility to monitor your own health and communicate any relevant medical concerns to the instructor in advance.
1-1. Injury Recovery Pilates
- We do not provide any Pilates sessions intended to heal or treat injuries, including conditions such as osteoporosis, scoliosis, or other cases requiring professional physical care. If you have a history of injury, or any chronic or temporary physical condition, please consult and obtain advice from a medical or physical health specialist before participating in any Pilates session for your own safety. By taking part in a session under these conditions, you acknowledge and agree to these terms, and Plié AJ Balance does not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from participation in our services.
- We do not offer prenatal or postnatal Pilates sessions. Our regular Pilates sessions are not safely designed for individuals who are pregnant or in the postnatal period. If a prenatal or postnatal participant attends our classes without disclosure and sustains an injury, loss, or any other issue, Plié AJ Balance does not accept any responsibility or liability.
- We are not responsible for any issues and problems, including personal belongings, damage,theft, conflicts or arguments with other users, and other related cases.
- If you damage any equipment or facility, you are responsible for the damage costs, regardless of whether it was intentional or not.
- We do not provide any warranty or assume liability for your internet connection, devices, or any associated costs incurred due to security breaches or vulnerabilities while using our services. This includes instances where you access third-party sites through links on our website.
- If you damage or harm private or public property, other users, or instructors verbally, physically, mentally, or through any other intentional action or potential risk, you will be asked to leave the session and facility immediately and will be permanently removed from our system. Furthermore, we may report the incident to community authorities or law enforcement as appropriate. If you violate any of our policies or regulations, you may be permanently banned from our services. This includes, but is not limited to, unpaid fees, theft, fraud, abusive behavior, violence, or inappropriate conduct. In such cases, no refunds will be provided.
- Some Pilates sessions may allow participants to bring guests, including minors. Bringing guests is entirely voluntary and at the participant’s discretion. We do not accept any responsibility for injuries, loss, damage, or any other incidents involving guests.
- We may need to cancel Pilates sessions due to the instructor’s physical or medical conditions, severe weather conditions that make it unsafe for both instructors and participants to commute to in-person sessions, an inevitable power outage before or during Pilates sessions, or other unexpected events that occurs*. If any of these cases arise, primarily we inform you as soon as possible through your registered email address. Additional way for notification, we inform on the 'Notifications' page on our website, or our social media channels, such as Instagram.Please note that,depending on the circumstances, we may be unable to contact you. *Session fees are refundable only if the session has not started and is canceled due to the instructor’s condition, severe weather, or a power outage before the session begins. Once the scheduled session has started, even if only seconds or minutes have passed, cancellations will not be eligible for a refund (e.g., if a power outage occurs during the Pilates session).
- Severe weather conditions or any calamity conditions are based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
- Session cancellations are determined by Plié AJ Balance. If you cancel your session independently, a cancellation fee may apply.
- For information about cancellations and related refund terms, please refer to our ‘Cancellation, Absence, and Refund Policy’.
- When in-person sessions are provided in a rental space/ studio/gym under Plié AJ Balance(Studio Plié AJ Balancé), whether inside or outside facilities, please follow the rental site rules.
